The Speaker Liaison/Pre-Event Contact has two roles in regard to Classes, Webinars, or Workshops*:


Pre-event support

Create Zoom links for classes


*This includes classes in English, Spanish and French but not Russian or Indonesian.  This does not include multi-event series like Training Workshop, those are managed by The Training Workshop Liaison..  


Pre-Event Support

 

- Send a Pre-event information email to each S/P two to three weeks prior to the scheduled presentation.  Drafts of those letters in English, Spanish and French are available:  insert link to locations here.


Instructions for sending out an email:

1. Copy/Paste the desired template into a new email.

2. Copy the title of the presentation from the class listing

3. In subject line enter:  "Pre-Event Info :"  then paste the title

4. Replace the capitalized generic text with appropriate information

5. Obtain the Zoom link from the admin class listing page and paste it over the generic zoom link.

6. Obtain the S/P email address(s) from the Presenter Information page on the admin class listing, each S/P should be copied.

7. Optional check their bio on the Presenter Information page, add a note in the Bio section.


- Field any questions or concerns that S/Ps have in regard to their presentation in the event that a Session Host and Technical Host haven't yet been assigned.


Zoom Links for Classes


Zoom links are created using the emdc@cru.org zoom account,   Contact Paul Konstanski in order to access the account.


1. In a web browser go to Zoom.us, and sign in to the emdc@cru.org account

2. Click the Schedule A Meeting link.

3. Follow the instructions found in:  How to Set Up Zoom for an EMDC.online Class (& Training Track)
