It is important that you look through this article to make sure you understand what to expect before and on the day of your presentation.
In addition to the article and time confirmation, I am your contact person for your questions. You can reply back to me for any additional information that you need.
A technical host is assigned to your session. They will assist with any details regarding special set up and other technical issues. They will check your ability to present. There also will be a session host provided by EMDC that will open and close the session and talk about how questions are to be handled.
Please plan to stay on your session for a debrief following your presentation. After each presentation the EMDC host will do a debrief with the Tech host and Speakers. This will allow us to process how the session went in order to provide better support to Speakers in the future.
We open the Zoom rooms 20 minutes before the session begins. You should plan to arrive then as well to meet with the two hosts. They will test to make sure that all is working properly and to do a practice run for videos and slide presentations. If breakout rooms or other features are being used, they will be discussed as well. There may also be regular attendees in the room who come early. That is fine and the hosts will address them.
You have been placed as a "staff" member in this session to insure that you get all necessary communications. Like the other attendees, you will receive a reminder email 24-hours and 1-hour before the scheduled start time. Our preference is that you use one the meeting link in the 1-hour email. But if need be, as a backup, I have also provided the Zoom links below.
