EMDC is a multi-agency consultation that meets annually. The EMDC consultation is intended to be a secure venue where minority language workers, translators, literacy workers, language development, trauma healing, and refugee workers in the greater Eurasia region, can meet with media specialists (including radio, TV, internet, mobile, social media), IT technicians, recording specialists, digital publishers, graphic artists, specialists in Ethnomusicology/ Ethno-Arts (arts, drama, dance), specialists in hand-held technology, and specialists in oral societies and storytelling.
How to Register
The registration (and cost) for EMDC 2020 has 2 components which are charged separately:
1) Registration for Pre-EMDC (25-28 March) & EMDC (30 March- 2 April) & Post-EMDC (3-6 April) is paid to EMDC and done on the EMDC Registration site. You can begin your registration HERE
2) Room/Board & All Meals are paid to that hotel of your choice or our on-site location. If our primary location is filled, we will offer overflow housing. Please book your accommodation early! You can book directly on the EMDC site. For those not staying at the conference hotel(s), you will pay a day fee which includes coffee, snacks, internet, and use of facilities. Additional information is available on the registration site.
At EMDC you will be asked to sign our security policy. We take your security very seriously. Upon arrival at the EMDC Conference you will be asked to sign the security statement below:
I agree not to publish the names of attendees or their material (hand-outs) without their prior consent. I agree not to take photographs of the participants. I will not use the EMDC as a venue for expressing defamatory opinions against any ideology or faith. I agree with this with my signature (at EMDC).
